Meet The Executive

Chairman - Gordon Willcocks CPP, PSP, CAS

Gordon is the 2012 ASIS Queensland Chapter Chair and Senior Security Advisor for Queensland Energy Resources Limited. Gordon operates in Resource Sector Security Management & has over 2 decades of specialist protective security operations and risk experience in law enforcement, intelligence and investigations. Gordon's qualifications include: ASIS Certified Protection Professional + Physical Security Professional, ATAB Certified Anti-Terrorism Specialist, Diploma of Public Safety (Policing) and Graduate Certificate - Risk Management, QUT.

Deputy Chairman - Bill Harding

Bill is the 2011 ASIS Queensland Chapter Deputy Chair and is the Manager, Safety and Security at Jupiters Hotel and Casino, Gold Coast. Bill has over 25 years experience in senior management roles for some of the largest security companies in Australia. Bill has managed the private security component for many large events including: opening of Darlng Harbour by the Queen, Commonwealth Heads of Government Meetings and the Asia Pacific Economic Conference.

Secretary - Bruce Connors CPP, PSP

Bruce is the 2012 ASIS Queensland Chapter Chair and Principal Security Advisor - Infrastructure for Brisbane City Council. Bruce has over 23 years of commercial, industrial, government security operations, risk management and technical systems experience. Bruce's qualifications include: ASIS Certified Protection Professional, Physical Security Professional, Diploma Government Security, Diploma Project Management, Workplace Training and Assessment, CPTED, Fire Safety Advisor and Security Operations.

Treasurer - Colin Spring CPP, PSP

Colin comes to the position of Treasurer within the ASIS Queensland Chapter after a background of 11 years military service. As from 1987 he was based in S.E. ASIA working within the security industry as a managerial consultant in the CIT, D & J and Personnel Movement roles. Since 2001 Colin has worked in the Australian Security Industry in the CIT area with ‘Brinks Australia’ for six years and then in ATM servicing. For the past three years Colin has been in a Security Management role with Wilsons Security based here in Brisbane’s CBD

Events & Marketing - Geoff Schurer

Geoff is a security specialist and CEO of Security Institute operating as a RTO in security and law enforcement at Brisbane and the Gold Coast for over 10 years. Geoff has significant experience with developing and delivering Nationally Accredited Training in Security, Firearms, Close Personal Protection and Defensive Tactics. His qualifications include Diplomas in Business, Security and Risk Management, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and Operational Safety Training.
